Now, prices are being increased to align with the European average. The reasons include:

- Political pressure from the US to raise overseas medicine prices

Who Will Be Affected?
The NHS has a separate, negotiated price — so NHS patients will not see an increase. The change only affects private patients, who make up around 90% of users in the UK.
