Canesten External Cream
Canesten External Cream provides external treatment for fungal infections like vaginal thrush. It contains the active ingredient Clotrimazole which promotes a healthy pH balance and reduces thrush symptoms of itching and burning.
Canesten Internal Cream
Canesten Internal Cream (formerly Canesten Once) provides you with a single dose for treating thrush symptoms. The pre-fill applicator contains 5g of Canesten cream that can be inserted directly into the vagina for symptomatic thrush treatment.
Instructions
16-60 years: contents of the pre-filled applicator to be inserted into the vagina, preferably at night. The external cream to be applied thinly 2 or 3 times daily to the affected area. Under 16 and over 60 years: not recommended except on medical advice. This product should only be used if thrush has previously been diagnosed by a doctor.
Cautions
Do not use Canesten® Thrush Combi Internal & External
Creams:
• If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to clotrimazole or any of
the other ingredients, including cetostearyl alcohol, of
Canesten Thrush Combi Internal & External Creams
• During your period as it may be less eective.
• To treat nail and scalp infections
Ingredients
Applicator of internal cream:
• The active substance is clotrimazole at a strength of 10% w/w.
• The other ingredients are benzyl alcohol, polysorbate 60,
sorbitan stearate, cetostearyl alcohol, isopropyl myristate,
cetyl palmitate and purified water.
External cream:
• The active substance is clotrimazole at a strength of 2% w/w.
• The other ingredients are benzyl alcohol, polysorbate 60,
sorbitan stearate, cetyl palmitate, cetostearyl alcohol,
octyldodecanol and purified water.
