Pregnacare Conception tablets provide a carefully balanced comprehensive formulation of nutrients developed specifically to help support reproductive health in women in addition to all-round nutrition.
The tablets contain:
Folic acid: 400mcg as recommended by the UK Department of Health for all women trying to conceive, which increases maternal folate status, helps the process of cell division and maternal tissue growth during pregnancy
Zinc: contributes to normal fertility and reproduction
Vitamin B6: regulates hormonal activity
Iron: contributes to the normal function of the immune system and formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin
Vitamins B12 and D, iron and magnesium: can aid cell division
It is recommended that the tablets are taken (in particular for the beneficial effect from the daily folic acid intake) for at least one month before, and up to three months after conception.
