Rescue Remedy History
The system of plant and flower-based essences was developed in the 1930s by Dr Edward Bach, a physician and homeopath who was convinced that emotional wellbeing was key to overall health. He spent many years exploring the use of flowers and plants to develop his simple gentle system of 38 flower essences, setting up The Bach Centre in Oxfordshire, England where we continue to prepare the essences exactly as he did.
Nelsons link with the Bach™ Original Flower Remedies goes back to the 1930s and with Dr Bach himself. As demand for the essences grew, Dr Bach would supply concentrated essences to Nelsons Homeopathic Pharmacy who would make up the stock essences and make them available to the public. Over the years, the relationship between The Bach Centre and Nelsons continued to grow and we now manufacture and distribute the essences across the world.
What is Rescue Remedy made of?
RESCUE Remedy is still made using the original methods developed by Dr Bach over 80 years ago and features the original Dr Bach signature – a guarantee that the essences are made in the way Bach intended. RESCUE Remedy can be taken alongside any of the other 38 essences.
RESCUE Remedy is specially blended from five individual flower essences. The five essences are:
Rock Rose:Stay courageous. The positive potential of Rock Rose is courage and presence of mind.
Impatiens:Stay patient. The positive potential of Impatiens is less hastiness in thought and action.
Clematis:Stay engaged. The positive potential of Clematis is a lively interest in the world around you.
Star of Bethlehem: Stay strong. The positive potential of Star of Bethlehem is being strong.
Cherry Plum:Stay in control. The positive potential of Cherry Plum is serenity and the ability to think and act rationally.

RESCUE® CreamAn intensive, non greasy daily moisturiser-with RESCUE® essences to calm and Crab apple flower essence to cleanse. Protects, soothes and hydrates dry rough skin as a consequence of external factors e.g effects of alcohol sanitisers/ increased hand-washing.
